Why We Like The Original Universal Sandal
Nearly thirty years ago, a river guide revolutionized outdoor footwear when he cobbled together a sandal that was comfortable, water-friendly, and would stay on his feet. Teva is celebrating by bringing back, for a limited time, the Men's Original Universal Sandal, one of its very first products. Featuring the then-revolutionary, now-classic technical water sandal design we all recognize, that has been jazzed up with new color options to make it just as appealing and relevant today as it was way back when.

Much lighter than Chacos
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
These are not as good as Chacos for heavy duty use, but I bought them to use as camp shoes when adventure motorcycling. They are nice and lightweight and pack small.

Good features look cool
I purchased the sandals for camp shoes. Not lightweight. Too many straps. For removal and putting on.

Great Camp Shoe
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I don't normally wear Tevas but these are good for a few reasons given the purpose I use them for. They are light weight, they don't have a bunch of buckles and areas that cause blisters and they're comfortable. I can use them with my hiking socks on or bare footed. I can use them for just lounging around camp or for a river crossing to protect my feet. I don't use these as everyday shoes so I cannot attest to their long-term viability but they 100% meet the use case for why I purchased them.

the sandals are perfect for walking, have a good grip to the ground and are very well strapped to your feet and ankle.

Effective and comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Strong, Light, and comfortable. I?ve hiked mountains, beaches, and rivers in these. Great traction definitely worth the money. Chacos are nice but heavy, rigid, and expensive. Tevas feel more pliable light-weight.

classic and comfy
- Familiarity:

not much more to say about these that hasn't been said. Classic style has stayed true to form for years now. I did find them to be just slightly on the larger side.

Fashion Yay, Feet Nay
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Look 90?s cool like when we reinvented the 60?s! BUT my feet have ages since then and these were not up to the task of keeping me walking painlessly. Within a month I had developed severe arch pain and Achilles pain and when you look at the shoe it?s easy to see why. Zero support. It?s been over a year and I?m still dealing with the repercussions.
