Why We Like The Baggies Short
You can be pretty sure your little guy is going to have a good time in his Patagonia Baggies Shorts. You can also be sure that you won't have to pack extra towels to line the backseat of the car for the ride home thanks to the quick-drying Supplex nylon fabric with a DWR treatment. A drawcord waist ensures that your little guy doesn't end up having to fish around at the bottom of the pool for his missing shorts after shooting out the bottom of the water slide.

Great Boardshorts with Notes for Size
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These look great and feel like a good quality but a few things on fit: For a recent trip to the Caribbean, we bought our son three pairs of multi-use swim trunks. These from Patagonia - size large, Billabong's Sunday's Pro Boardshort - size 25, and The North Face Amphibious Class V Belted Short - size large. My 13-y-o son is an athletic 5'2" 85lbs. The Patagonia is a perfect slim fit for him so if your child is larger than average or "big-boned" you need to size up or look for another brand (like The North Face shorts). The Billabong is a bit bigger for the similar size but probably not suitable for an over-sized kiddo. Both of the fore-mentioned shorts have a great look, and he wants to wear them all the time. He loves the design on the North Face Shorts too, but the size-large is WAY too big for his 24/25-inch waist. We kept them for later since he loves the feel and look. However, if your kiddo is slim or smaller for their age, you should definitely size down.
