Yes, but…
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Yes, I’ve only worn these on a handful of consecutive hikes, and yes I’ve noticed some pilling of the fabric even before their first wash. But they fit great and they are insanely comfortable, and feel very durable yet lightweight and tactical/technical. The deep jeans-style front pockets don’t bother me like other reviewers. And I thought maybe I’d miss the convertible pants/shorts these are replacing, but I could wear these all day. And I find the low-profile leg pouch and zippered back pocket to cover the bases. I don’t want to use my pants as a giant storage container anyway. They are very cooling and provide all-day UV protection. I can already say I’d buy these pants again and again.

Versatile hike and travel
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Just returned from 3 weeks in Italy and the Alps. The pants fit well and were comfortable. I appreciate the zippered thigh pocket, which stores my phone nicely without impairing movement. Lightweight fabric was easy to hand wash and dry to keep fresh clothes throughout trip.

Not durable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
These pants look good out of the bag and are comfortable. With the drawstring closure, you don't need a belt. Colors are good. Sizing good/accurate. However....the fabric and stitching are of extremely low quality. After just three days of hiking, the fabric is starting to pill and wear thin at the knees and seat. I can see fuzzy threads worming out of the fabric. The stitching in key places like seat pocket and crotch is starting to come apart. My Patagonia Quandary pants (market comparable pants) are >4 years old and have none of these issues after >100 days of wear. If you want to wear these around the house like sweat pants, then buy them and enjoy them for the short time they'll last. If you plan to actually wear these outdoors, don't waste your money. I am an OR fan so am disappointed. Do better!!!

Lightweight and Breathable Comfort
The Ferrosi Pant is impressively lightweight and offers great breathability, keeping me cool even during intense hikes. It’s soft, flexible, and feels comfortable all day long—perfect for both outdoor adventures and casual wear.

Would buy again
The Outdoor Ferrosi Pant has been my favorite hiking and casual wear pant for years. This most recent version feels like an upgrade over my previous pair with strong but lightweight fabric with just the right amount of stretch.

Nice pant for mild weather
Very light weight … waist needs more stretch … seat and thighs are a bit baggy for me

The perfect light weight pants.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This is my second pair since they first came out. I still love them. The pockets are in the right spot, cargo pants done right. Very light, very tough, and comfortable.

OR need to fix the sizing
If you're considering buying these pants, I recommend trying them on in-store first. OR has made fitting extremely complicated; it seems every single piece of clothing is a different size. I bought these pants in the same size as my previous purchase 30' , and they are too small.
