Featherlight feel and breathable comfort in the Echo Short-Sleeve Tee
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I wear the Echo short-sleeve for just about everything—trail runs, travel, fast hikes. It’s insanely light, dries super fast, and doesn’t cling when I sweat. Even better, it doesn’t stink after a few days on the trail. This one always earns a spot in my pack."
On days when we’re chasing miles under the sun or knocking out back-to-back adventures, the Outdoor Research Echo Short-Sleeve T-Shirt delivers the breathability, weight savings, and next-to-skin comfort we rely on. It’s the kind of ultralight tech tee that disappears while we’re wearing it, but performs at every step.
Made with moisture-wicking AirVent™ fabric and built-in Polygiene® odor control, the Echo keeps us dry, fresh, and moving. Flat seams prevent chafing, and the streamlined fit layers easily under other pieces or wears solo in the heat. Whether we’re heading out for an hour or a week, this tee is a minimalist’s dream layer.

Light weight and quick dry
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
It’s really light weight and quick dry. Think, but not see through. Love the green color and order the red color too. Great fit, small size fit perfect, I am 5 ft and 115 lb.

Great for backpacking
- Familiarity:

I like the v-neck style and fit true to size. Lightweight and nice color (I have light blue). Will also likely use for running and sports but bought for backpacking.

Ultralight fabric, trim fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Body length runs a bit long on 5’3” frame. Very lightweight fabric but not see-through. Trim fit but not tight—went with a small (for reference, 125lbs and 32DD). Like the slight v-neck and princess seams for shape.

Wildly inconsistent sizing
I love this fabric and these shirts with long sleeves, so I thought I'd try the short sleeves. I ordered two colors: one in Deep Lake, the other in Ultramarine/lavender. I ordered a size Small in both. Deep Lake fit amazingly! But I figured I would try on the other one as well. The Ultramarine was super long and baggy. I double checked the printed size on the shirts: each said S. I took sone pictures where I put Deep Lake over the Ultramarine/Lavender for comparison - you can see how Ultramarine/Lavender juts out a few inches to the size and below the Deep Lake.
