Basically the same as bike wax lubes
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I recently purchased a bike wax film lubricant by White Lightning and this looks exactly the same. It contains a white waxy solid in a bluish liquid and you have to shake it up before applying. I was hoping to get something with less of a solvent component in it by going with this (which this is clearly not). Hopefully Metolius has tested this stuff on nylon and dyneema as I know it is pretty tricky dripping it out without having it run all over. Definitely recommend turning the cam sideways when applying and placing paper towels below to catch the drip with another to wipe off excess. Once it’s dry the wax won’t attract dirt and become greasy which is basically the same concept as the bike lube. In any case if you already have the bike lube version you can skip buying this.
