MAMMUT obtains its Merino wool from suppliers who care about animal welfare and are against mulesing.

These are by far the most comfortable base layer pants I have ever worn. Instead of the typical elastic waist band, they have more of a seamless waist which makes it more comfortable.

Huge improvement over my previous winter tights. Agree with a previous poster that they do fit a little oddly. They don't really consider that a woman has hips. But they have enough material that the waist to make it work. Very warm for little bulk and that's the main job.

Excellent mid weight base layer
These are so comfortable I can live in them. Great for 25-40 degree F days of outdoor activity as an only base layer. So good I bought two.

These do not stay up
Small in the bum and loose in the waist, these tights do not stay up. Because of this I rarely reach for them.

I love my new trift leggings. I haven't even taken them out in the snow yet, but they form the perfect layer under some shorts or a cute mini skirt to keep me warm in Northern California. Never overly insulated and holding up well with the wear so far. Only note is they run a little big, so maybe order a size down from your normal if you want a tight fit!
