Crag Sender Climbing Helmet
Mammut's Crag Sender Collection consists of climbing gear specialized for modern climbing at sport crags, and the Crag Sender Climbing Helmet is lighter and more performance-oriented than most of Mammut's helmets for all-around climbing. It utilizes a hard shell for lightness and reliable durability, and EPS foam adds impact protection. You can adjust the fit with a dial that's easy to use even while climbing, and there's an adjustable chin strap and additional cushioning to ensure a snug fit.

Climbing Helmet
I use this as my primary climbing helmet and do not particularly love wearing helmets but, I think this one is just fine.

Breathable, light, safe
A great lightweight helmet that stays cool during hot days. The tightening system is easy to use, very precise, and comfortable. After using the helmet twice a week for 3 months, the internal padding has remained pristine and is showing no wear. However, as with any helmet, I recommend taking it off when applying deet bug spray because the finish on the top of my helmet is starting to peel a bit.

Great all round helmet, I absolutely love the tightening mechanism and it's overall comfort. It's very durable but still light enough to strap to my pack for long technical mountains

Highly recommend for women!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Purchased the s/m size after measuring my head with a tape measure. I was close to the end of the s/m but below the m/l size and I'm happy I went with the smaller size. I am female with extremely thick, curly hair. I often have trouble with baseball caps, but the helmet fit over my hair without issue. The helmet fits extremely well. It is lightweight, breathable and very comfortable. I wore it in 90+ F° with 50% humidity and barely noticed the helmet, while fellow climbers were dying to get their helmets off. We were also putting up new routes with a bunch of loose rock and the helmet took it well. I personally love the jade color. Super impressed.

Too deep
This helmet is deeper than the wall rider. The shell itself rests on the top of my ears and the adjustment arms didn’t want to stay off the base of my ears. The deep shape also gives it a weird profile on head and felt pretty goofy in it. The brow also would not allow me to wear sunglasses in conjunction with the helmet. On the positive side, it is super comfy other wise and really light considering how much additional shell Mammut added to the foam versus leaving it exposed.

Light and size adjusts well for when I'm just wearing the helmet the crag, or have on hat and hoods while alpine climbing in the winter. I think the best review for a helmet is "I forget that I have it on", which certainly applies here! Highly recommend it!

Light comfortable helmet. The strap adjustments are easy to use with a boa style wheel on the back. provides very good coverage of the head vs some helmets which seem to not cover as much of the back of the skull as low as some would like to depending on head shape.

Favorite Helmet!
Super lightweight but still gives plenty of protection. Fits like a glove, is low profile, while still covering lots of surface area!

This is light weight, sturdy, and even looks good. It fits perfectly into most climbing packs or hiking packs with an external carry pocket. There was some worry about the straps being a little thinner but they are sturdy and do not twist when using. I am a beginner climber but based on the other impact activities I do I would say this helmet works for all levels.
