What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The 4 Slide is the harness I recommend to new climbers and anyone who wants something super adjustable. It’s comfortable, fast to put on, and fits over layers really well for ice or alpine days. Great value and works for just about any style of climbing."

Whether we're just starting out or need a do-it-all harness for changing seasons, the Mammut 4 Slide Climbing Harness offers the fit, comfort, and versatility to handle it all. Four Slide-Bloc buckles—two on the waist and one on each leg loop—make size adjustments fast and intuitive, which comes in handy when layering up or sharing gear.

The ergonomic padding and wide support zones distribute weight evenly, keeping us comfortable on long belays or hanging rests. With four gear loops and reinforced tie-in points, this harness is ready for everything from gym laps to alpine adventures. It’s our go-to when we want one harness that covers every discipline.

Does the job!

Fits me great. I’m 5’10” 170 lbs. I have used in the gym and outdoors on a multi pitch so far. Gear loops are plenty. Harness held me, so it works!

perfect gym harness

great affordable harness that feels solid, I really only use for gym climbing but great entry to intermediate level harness and won’t break the bank.

Harness does the job and looks cool, but gets pretty uncomfortable on the inner thighs after belaying for an extended period.

Easy to instruct with the dual color. Squishy leg and waist straps.

Great adjustable fit

Comfortable fit. I choose this because I'm a thicker lady and there were not a lot of options with sizes large enough. This fits me great and comes in a variety of colors. I use it at our local climbing gym for climbing and top roping.

We use these to belay on shift at my climbing gym and the large pads make them very comfortable during long belays. Great harness for those working indoors at a gym with new climbers.

It's great so far for gym and everything

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

So I hung on it in the was clipped my PAS into and anchor, the sides my hips dug in a bit. It's not as comfortable and my misty mountain cadilac, but it's not bad. I could totally do a hanging belay. Rappeling or lowering in gym seem totally fine. I don't notice in when climbing. So over all I think it's pretty comfortable harness. Nothing to complain about.

Super Comfy

Great harness with a wide range of fit! I am on the larger size of humans, and this harness fits great! The waist cinches down from both sides of the harness vs only from one side like my previous harness. This makes the harness stay more centered on my body, and therefore more comfortable to climb in.

Pads are not super comfortable compared with Black Diamonds Momentum harness. However this harness is much lighter and gets the job done with sport climbs.
