Smooth out partner weight differences with the Ohm II Assisted Braking Resistor
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Ohm has totally changed how I climb with heavier partners. Catching falls is smoother, and I don’t get yanked off the ground anymore. The updated design is easier to load and handle, and it works seamlessly with my regular belay setup."
When there's a big weight gap between climber and belayer, the Edelrid Ohm II keeps the system smooth, safe, and under control. This assisted braking resistor increases rope friction in the event of a fall, reducing the force on the belayer and minimizing the risk of being pulled upward or into the wall.
The updated design improves rope handling and makes it even easier to install at the first bolt, all while maintaining compatibility with most standard single ropes. Whether we're working sport routes with a heavier partner or teaching new belayers, the Ohm II brings balance and security to the system.
