Navis Freebird skis balance lightweight touring with stable, floaty all-terrain performance
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"If you want a backcountry ski that feels like a true alpine charger on the descent, the Navis Freebird is it. Lightweight enough for long missions, but with serious power and edge hold when the line demands it."
We count on the Black Crows Navis Freebird Ski for high-alpine objectives where weight savings matter but downhill performance can’t be compromised. With a 102mm waist, progressive front rocker, and a long camber underfoot, the Navis Freebird brings together the floatation and precision we need to tackle everything from wind-buffed ridgelines to untouched powder bowls.
Constructed with a paulownia-poplar core reinforced by a carbon/fiberglass blend and titanal underfoot, this ski blends uphill efficiency with strong edge grip and powerful energy return. The semi-cap construction trims weight at the tip while full ABS sidewalls maintain edge hold and durability in technical terrain. Whether it's a multi-day traverse or a single-peak strike mission, the Navis Freebird is a responsive, well-balanced tool for serious backcountry skiers.
