Fits well, feels cool, but smells??
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have been using it for outdoor training and hiking and it's all good. The only drawback is the smell. I didn't notice any smell when receiving it, but after the first wash (just normal tide detergent and a washing machine), it started having an irritating smell. This smell just persists whether it's used or clean. All my other clothes washed this way are good so I don't think it's a problem of the detergent or the washing machine or the dryer.

Great lightweight piece

Love the look and functionality. Have used it fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and just chilling. Material seems to be holding up well, and the fit is great for me. XL at 6’4” and longer than average arms.

Great Sun hoody! I have it in 3 different colors since sun hoodies are a staple in my outdoor summer fits. 10/10 would recommend

Worth Every Penny
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought one of these mostly out of curiosity, I'd never tried a sun hoodie before. I took it on a trip to the lake this summer, and I can't praise it enough. It keeps the sun off, and breathes incredibly well. It feels cooler than wearing a tank top, and with the hood and the long sleeves, there's no concern about getting a sun burn. I will be buying more, this is my favorite item in the closet right now.

A hiking must take
Worth it. Comfortable. A little warm. Added protection during the peak hours in a day.

I like it, but…
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I was hoping this would be a bit more breathable. I live in a place that has pretty intense humidity to accompany the heat, and any extra layer often makes it feel like you’re in an oven. If I really needed long sleeves to be outdoors, I would probably opt for something with a lighter feel.

Great for summer
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Bought this for my husband who works in construction and is outside most of the summer. His skin is protected on his arms and the back of his neck without him getting too hot. Comfort and protection all in one great shirt. The hood fits great under a hard hat as well.

Great everyday summer shirt!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Have worn this to the lake, golfing, hiking, to the wine bar, grocery shopping, and taking out the trash. It’s super lightweight, keeps me cool, and doesn’t look ridiculous to wear out for regular activities like other sun shirts I own. I ordered one in white and another in the gold-ish color.

Cool and Comfortable.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought the Tahoe 2 sun hoodie in spring of 2025 and have used it for biking around Lake Tahoe and Yosemite on hot, sunny days. The fit is good and the fabric is great for hot, dry weather. I haven't tested it in humid conditions, but my guess is that it will be good.

Does anyone know the weight of the medium hoodie? The original design was about 9oz, and it felt heavy when wearing. Im hoping its similar in weight to the OR hoodie, or MH at 1/2 the weight. I noticed a lot of gear in general now on backcountry is missing the weight.
