Trail-ready shorts built to go the distance
"The belt sits in the perfect place and doesn't get in the way of my harness or backpack. When I want to wear it higher, I can cinch it in for a tighter fit."Gearhead® Expert Jo
We designed the Wasatch Ripstop Short for venturing along lightly trafficked singletrack that leads to hard-earned views. The built-in stretch gives us room to straddle over fallen trees, and the lightweight fabric brushes off overreaching brush and quickly dries away summit drizzles.

I love these!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have a hard time finding shorts I like, but I love these so much I have them in 3 colors! They're comfortable, they fit well, they have good coverage, and they wash and wear well. My only complaint would be the way the built-in belt gets twisted inside the waist of the pants. Otherwise they're absolutely fantastic!

Pleaseee release more colors + Restock!! I’m so in love with these shorts I snagged a second in black just in case something happens to my first black pair. Sad to always see them sold out, would not hesitate to buy them in more colors! I have worn them on just about every hike/backpacking trip this summer I always wear a M but had to size down to S for the perfect fit.

Want more colors!
Just wore these for four days straight on a backpacking trip, lots of rock and tree scrambles and butt slides - the shorts took no damage. I came back to order these in the rose color and it's gone now :( Definitely going to be my go-to hiking shorts for the rest of the summer and I want more colors to switch it up!

Great Shorts
These are some of the best, most comfortable shorts. I have them in 3 different colors. The length is perfect and the adjustable belt is really nice to ensure you have the perfect fit. They are true to size. I have worn them hiking and in casual settings and they work great for both.

Cute but quality is disappointing

The hemming on these shorts it pretty disappointing. Lots of loose threads that snag. The overall look is cute, but don’t seem like they will last long. Also many comments said size down, but if you have a butt, I wouldn’t recommend. I wore my normal size.

WOW

I am a professional field biologist, and I do the same things for fun that I do for work. At 40 years old, I have been wearing field clothes hard for over 20 years. Have worked in shorts from Columbia, Patagonia, etc. all the brands at this point. Most get the job done, but are never flattering. THESE shorts are functional and flattering. Love that they are longer in the back for some cellulite coverage. Finally! I feel pretty in my field clothes.

Very Flattering

My new favorite short for the season. The fit is very flattering and hides my lower bloat. The pockets are super deep & it has good coverage in the back as well, I ordered a small.

I love the fit of these shorts. They are true to size, and the integrated belt is sweet for minor adjustments. Quick to dry, durable material and zippered pockets!
